The Class Results Viewer uses arrow buttons for scrolling through student names when there are more than 25. These buttons may not function after printing the results. To correct this, download: Collate.zip: for Windows 95, 98 or NT. Extracting this file creates a folder. Copy "collate.dxr" from this folder to the CRV folder usually found in C:\Program Files\TLEx. Click "yes" to replace the file when a message that it already exists appears. Collate.sit for the Macintosh. Expanding this creates a Collate folder. Copy "Collate.dxr" from this folder to the TLEx Class Results Viewer folder on your Macintosh hard disk. Click "OK" to replace the item when a message that it already exists appears. New Volume and Surface Area Explorer for Windows 95, 98 and NT 4.0. This update added features that were not in the Windows version and corrects a bug that caused incorrect calculations with five-sided figures. To install this Explorer, download Vol.zip and extract it into the Explorer folder in the TLE9 folder. (The default location is C:\Program Files\TLE9\Explorers.) Replace the existing Volume.exe application. Escape Key Patch: In Windows versions of TLE, pressing certain keys in combination may reveal the answers. TLE can be modified so that pressing the escape key causes the program to quit. The following patches add this capability.
Ontario grade 7, 10 v1.0, and grade 9 v2.0 have this function built-in. To install the patch in the other versions:
Pressing the Escape Key will now quit the program. Any work done since the last autosave (numbers that have not turned red) will be lost. The following patches are for version 1.0 of TLE 7, 8 and 10 and 2.0 for TLE 9. For best results, update to the latest versions. NT Error Patch: If the following error occurs starting TLE in Windows NT: "The procedure entry pointSMap_IP_EBP_12 could not be located in the dynamic link library Kernel32.dll" may occur in older versions of TLE. Clicking on OK will get past the error message and it does not affect the operation of TLE. The following patches will prevent the error. To install, follow the instructions in the ReadMe file provided. Printing Patch: If the Print function is not available in the TLE menu, download and install TLE Grade 9 V2.0. This patch contains an update to TLE 9 West v2.0 that will add screen printing. Only a few of the original CDs had this problem. If you see "Print" in the TLE menu you do not need this patch. To install, follow the instructions in the ReadMe file provided. Grade Tracking Patch for version 1.x: If you get an error "This file is not part of the current grade level" when opening a student file that is from the correct grade level then download Tracking.zip and follow the instructions in the ReadMe file provided. This ZIP file contains all the tracking patches for Grade 7, 8, 9, and 10 for Windows and Macintosh systems. It will not fix existing student files but should eliminate the problem for new files.
